Choosing a Domain Name to Maximise S.E.O

This strategy is really very simple but remains ignored by many online marketers.

Always use a keyword in your domain name that says what your site is about.

Example - use the word "search" if you are a search engine or the word "ad" if your site is primarily concerned with online advertising.

Keeping your domain name short is another key to help optimise your ranking with the big search engines. Also, make your domain name easy to spell, as common sense would suggest the word is spelt.

Check your site out on Google and see if your domain is indexed with them. If it is not, then submit your name to Google.

At all times you should have subtitles on each page of your site because the all powerful googlebots in the power house.

Google search engines pick up on headlines, subtitles or anything in bold or italics. If you have not heard of a sitemap, do a search on the term to gain a basic understanding and then include a sitemap in to your website so visitors and search engines can easily find what they are looking for.

Googlebots read from left to right. Always put any links on your site on the far right hand side of the page so that the search engines can pick up on the relevant key words used in your text but still hit your link after that.

Keeping the colour scheme of your site fairly conservative means that readers will take it more seriously. For example, a white background with blue or black writing is ideal.

Writing plainly and simply can make you rich

Writing well is great business

These days in the online world or offline we are all writing more and aiming to ingage our readers quickly with strong and direct messages that have real meaning. To write well is to position yourself powerfully and gives you a decisive edge over your competitors and gives your customers and clients the message you aim to convey with passion and real meaning.

Great writing is efficient and can also be elegant it delivers it's message plainly and directly; it wins the business and avoids confusion and also tells you reader that you understand the subject you are telling them about and care to explain it in plain english.

My writing blog will be aimed to meet the needs of people with online affiliate businesses who want to promote ideas and products online, business in general and even those trying to write and make a living online.

Why great writing matters

-It is efficient and doesn't waste words in getting you message accross

-By taking the time to make things clear it shows respect for those the message is intended to reach

-It wins respect and ongoing business

-It helps keep the English language intact

-It shares the passion you have for what you are promoting or championing

-It shows empathy for your reader and crosses cultural boundaries

-It Sells

-It makes the story clear and avoids confusion

-It has style and a clear layout

In the blogs it the following days i will cover the following in order.

1. The phrases and words that create confusion

2.How to write good copy

3.How to write in the active voice

4.How to write seductively

5.How to lay out a story or a pitch

In the following weeks i will cover what makes good prose and how to reach your audience and also about the active and the passive voice.

I will explain what makes good editing and how being concise and writing cleaning will make you money online.

Writing is a fascinating subject and one that i love but i think Winston Churhill summed it all up when he said that the best words are Short words and the Old words, when they are short,are the best of all;

In otherwords the best writing is clear so use your own voice and state clearly what it is that you mean. www.trafficpayouts.blogspot.com
